Campsites

Our personal opinions on some sites.

This post is also too hard to keep up while traveling but I do have a gripe. Why does it matter what shelter we have, tent, camper-trailer 0r massive 5wheeler if we are all paying the same price for our site?  THANKYOU to those places which allocate everyone the same amount of space. RASPBERRIES to those which jam Camper-Trailers and tents into the lousiest spots in their parks.

Nitmiluk and why should opt for an unpowered site.  Both photos taken from exactly the same position. It’s a shame there isn’t more opportunity to feel part of the wonderful setting while at your campsite. It reminded me of going to the Drive-In. Nitmiluk is a wonderful place to spend some time so choose an unpowered site and blend in.

Looking left, Powered sites

Looking right, unpowered

A fabulous place. Our "grotto" at the Flame Tree Caravan Park, Airlie Beach, Qld.

Driving North, Turning Left

In 2002 driving  the Mitsubishi Challenger and sleeping in a tent, we went north to Darwin then turned right. In July this year, 2011, we intend to drive our Jeep Cherokee towing our Pioneer Camper-Trailer north to Darwin then turn left!

Proof we really did go north then turn right.
