Some places we've been and some places we're going.

Kyle of Lochalsh

Today we took a trip on the train from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh. We were lucky the weather was fine but we definitely needed our warm jackets.

  1. I have been transported to a different environment via your photos. It seems like the area is in a time warp.

    • In many ways it is, the new houses basically keep the same lines and colours as the old ones. I like it. When I see the tiny villages though I wonder what jobs the people do. They seem so isolated but I’m sure strangers to many parts of Australia would wonder the same thing. Up this way the pace seems slower. When I picture the check out people at home I see hands whizzing across the barcode readers and items quickly put into bags. Compared to them the ones here operate in exaggerated slow motion. 🙂
